Free eye test

Free eye test in Infocity.

Computerised and manual, by a qualified optometrist. Walk in any day, 11 am to 9 pm.

The short answerYes, it is free. A qualified optometrist checks your eyes with a computerised machine first and then manually. It usually takes 15 to 30 minutes, and you are not obliged to buy anything.

What happens, step by step

  1. Computerised scan

You look at a target inside the machine while it reads your eyes. It is quick and painless.

  2. Manual check

The optometrist refines the reading with lenses and a chart, asking which looks clearer. This is where the prescription is fine-tuned to feel right.

  3. Lens advice

We explain what your prescription means and which lenses suit how you live and work. You get your prescription either way.

Eye test room at Optimax Vision, Infocity

Who should get an eye test?

  • Anyone who has not had their eyes tested in the last one to two years.
  • Anyone with headaches after reading or screen work, or who squints to see clearly.
  • Anyone whose glasses feel different, or whose lenses are scratched.
  • Children who sit very close to the board or the TV (please bring a parent).
  • Anyone thinking about progressive lenses, computer glasses or contact lenses.

This is an eye test for glasses and contact lenses, not a medical examination. If you notice sudden changes in vision, eye pain, redness or flashes of light, please see an eye doctor without waiting.

What to bring

  • Your current glasses and any old prescription.
  • Your contact lens case or box, if you use them.
  • A photo of any earlier prescription on your phone works too.

After the test

Your prescription is yours to keep. If you decide to order glasses with us, spectacles start from Rs. 499 (frame + lenses), single vision, bifocal and progressive lenses (selected powers) are delivered in 1 day when ordered before 5 PM, and after-sale service is free. Every spectacle carries a 6-month warranty against manufacturing defects. T&C apply.
